THE INDIAN WAY
The system in India is so old that this reservation has filled mostof the government offices with the reseved categories. Now thats what we call a developed nation. Equality rules!!!. After all, it is the most significant principle of democracy!!!!!!!.
One of my friend gave us a treat yesterday,,guess the reason?
no,,it wasnt her birthday....she was very happy because she no more belongs to the open category.!
when her dad conducted a research on their family history, he was surprised to know that they belong to one of the backward castes in the country that is approved in the reservation category.
My friend is very happy because she has got the most valued document in the country..........THE CASTE CERTIFICATE.
This made me envy of her . She can secure a seat in a good reputed college in mumbai .The open caste fellows will have to wait in the queue fo some more time.......BETTER LUCK GUYS....
Heres a joke that clearly depicts the stand of India compared to other nations:
Prime minister: We are sending Indians to moon next year .
Obama: Wow!!!how many???
Prime Minister: 100
35- OBC (other backward castes)
25- scheduled castes
20 -scheduled tribes
10- sports person
4 - jammu kashmir migrants
10- physically handicapped
and if possible.. ......1 astronaut

POSITIVE DISCRIMINATION
Venue:an engineering admission centre
student 1: how much did you score in the entrance exam?
student 2: 100
student1:that's very less. you will have to struggle for the admissions!!
student 2 : yeah..what about u?
student 1: 78/200
student 2: then your condition is more worse
student 1: I need not worry,,I am in the reserved category!!!! fellows like you from the open category are gonna terrorised..ha ah ha ha...
This is a true conversation that took place recently between two engineering aspirants. this is what is happening in our country. We claim that caste discrimination is completely abolished from India. But it isn't. Employment, education, and many other sectors are still under the influence of this social evil. Only difference is that in ancient India, it was the backward castes who were oppressed , whereas in the modern Indian society, the open category..(higher castes) are the ones suffering.
I am not at all against the reservation system..but against the type of reservation. we are almost into the 64th year of independence, and is it still necessary to provide reservation on caste basis?? Most of the backward castes are now developed and their standard of living is not poor as before. If any reservation is to be provided , then why not on the basis of annual income of the family?
The caste system in ancient India was a dreadful disaster. The backward castes were deprived of every opportunities. Maybe that's the reason why Dr. Ambedkar formulated a constitution where the scheduled castes and tribes were given prior importance. But the prime reason behind it was to bridge the gap between the low caste poor men an the rich higher castes.
If we consider the life standard of the so called low castes now, then its much improved. The ones that are still suffering belong to the below poverty level families. They can be considered by reserving them according to the family income..
due to this present system of reservation,,many deserving students are deprived of a chance of studying in good colleges since their seats are allotted to the reserved categories.
guys,if you belong to a reserved category , then you might feel awkward reading this article.
But dont u think this is discrimination ?? Should we allow this to underestimate the calibre and merit of the students??? Isn't it high time that the system change???
The students have to pay high donations to secure a seat in a professional course like MBBS or ENGINEERING,,then whats their mistake if they become corrupt officers in the future??
GUYS.....its high time our country wake up....the youth of our country should learn from the example of vicky and vivek who denied a seat under reservation in the most prestigious college in the country---IIT.( click here to know more.)
so what you think??? What can we do ??
if you think this is a thought provoking question,, the do answer the poll to the right of this page..........
ABSOLUTELY, Not me!!!!!!!!!
A silent tear…
A Constant wish that u r near…
Words are few but thoughts r deep…
Memories of our friendship i’ll always keep!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY
But mom, today I am fully wet. Water droplets are dripping from my hair, the shoes are covered with the mud, my uniform is also stained, even though I am sure you wont be there waiting for me at the hostel door, I wish I could see you .
Today as I entered my room I did not dry myself.
I just threw myself on the bed, staring at those rusty slow fan blades, unlike those at home which you kept clean.
The traces of the blades disappeared into a black circle and my thoughts slipped into the sweet memories at home, with you
Mom, do you remember the gossips we shared? The way I used to narrate my school adventures while your fingers untied the knots in my hair. The wonderful stories that you told while I would slowly slip off into my sleep. The twilight sky that I used to wonder about, lying in your lap.
Mom, thanks for the patience you showed when I asked you weird and strange doubts. I still remember the race we had in the backyard, when you tried to feed me the sour tablets I have ever tasted. I swear I had made a blueprint of my plan to teach that doctor a lesson.
Mom I still confuse between 4x6 and 3x6 in spite of the cane treatments that you gave me. I promise it wasn’t me who hid the cane behind the bushes.
It’s your birthday today. Remember I used to gift you my hand made greetings. Today when I emailed you the e card, I wished you kissed me at my forehead, like you did it then. Mom, don’t worry, I have not yet discovered the place where you gathered all the cards I gifted you. (Please change the handle of that box,, its rusted and it hurts if one tries to open it without the key).
Longing to meet you,. Wow!!! My hair is dry now!!! The rainwater has now vanished from my hair., even though it spoilt the effect of the new hair cream that I bought yesterday ;-(
I am completely dry, but I can find my cheeks wet. Not the rain, but your every single thought brings moisture to them.
Miss you.
Happy Birthday.

Flooded With hope
We used to meet often at the bus depot no.281. You used to stand hardly a few inches away from me. Both of us felt the presence of each other. The only difference was that we never spoke.
That day it was raining heavily. It was flooded everywhere. The city almost came to a halt. It was completely paralysed. It was you with whom I was trapped at the depot. The first time I observed you. You looked simply cute. Your gentle smile, pearl white skin tone, eyes that reflected your simplicity..Everything simply made me closer to you. That rainy day thus showered me with one of the best gifts of my life,,,
Your friendship.
It was raining again when we were together that day. It was not the moisture in the air that made me sweat then. It was you words. I still remember the electrifying experience of the Goosebumps that I felt when you uttered those two simply magical words...they still echo in my ears
“Marry me”,,, you said. Thus the goddess of rain as usual gifted me with the most precious gift,,
Your love
Then on, every rain made me remember you. They simply wetened my cheeks. Rains became the luckiest thing for me on the earth. Every rain brought me a new gift
It was still raining outside the church when the priest declared us as husband and wife. I felt as if Mother Nature was shedding her tears on this happiest occasion of my life.
Many rainy seasons passed. I do remember the rains that we watched together sharing the same blanket and the same cup of coffee. But one rain that came with the dreadful viral fever for me,, I consider it more as a boon than a trouble. For I realized your significance in my life then.
The sleepless nights that you spent,, you took care of me much more than anyone could. I do remember the complaints from your colleagues about your sleeping sessions during the board meeting. It was only your care and proximity that saved me from the clutches of that disease.
It was another rainy day when god gifted me with the most beautiful and cutest gift of my life. I can see her lying peacefully in the cradle next to the bed. The time when the nurse brought her to me wrapped in a tight cotton cloth, I could hear the patter of the heavy downpour. The rain drops that fell on the leaves of the banyan next to the window, as if they were singing in joy.
Rain has never betrayed me. I know it won’t grab away the happiness that she gifted me. I doubt will the luckiest thing of my life change everything? I believe my fate is not to sober in your separation. Hope you are safe. Come home soon.

OLD IS GOLD
Since its vacation for me, for me, these days sun rises only at 10’o clock, followed by two hours long appointment with the newspapers waiting for me at my doormat.
Today I saw a very fascinating headline in one of the regional newspapers of Mumbai.
‘Check into metro’
Still in my night suit with a cup of coffee, I settled down to read it.
The article was about the most discussed metro tail project taking root in Mumbai. The first phase of this project will start by next year while the third phase is planned to be started in 2021. (Exactly the Mumbai way,, after all slow but steady wins the race)
It is an expensive project linking many important cities via road. (Hope this link won’t experience the fate of the sea link!)
The news paper told me that this is going to be fantastic with many technologies being launched in the transport section of Mumbai. Automatic ticket vending machine, automatic ticket checker, and computer controlled doors (which can even count the number of people passing through it).
Guys, there number of commuters using this facility will be also controlled. Over population is not going to be allowed in this system. The trains will be equipped with automatically closing doors!!(Yes, exactly like those ones which u see in Hindi movies).
Now these are something impractical in an aka Bumbaiya life-ishtyle!! Imagine mumbaikar traveling in a train peacefully in the peak hours...that to without clinging to the door!!
And these doors get closed after a particular time in a metro train...That is u won’t be able to board a running train....now that is an unwanted piece of information for lazy bones like me.
Many western avatars had tried their luck in Mumbai... Burgers tried to defeat vada pav..Now this is aamchi Mumbai. Sincerely I prefer vada pav more than those branded burgers .
don’t u think taste buds of a mumbaikar prefer vada pav more???
Similarly metro rail can’t replace our own local train. The fun in clinging to the rusted handles , arguing for the fourth seat, pushing each other on the platform bridge, cursing the late trains during monsoon, etc etc are something just unavoidable in a Mumbai life.
Lets see how much the common people in Mumbai accepts the new avatar of rail on roads..Hope this doesn’t increase the traffic on Mumbai roads..
Q; what did a tamarind in a sack tell his friend?
A:i m feling like standing in a mumbai local train.
